Natale and Scott Architects was founded in 1985 on a commitment to design excellence. Working with a wide range of clients on a variety of project types we have been consistently committed to the creation of projects that are highly public in nature, engaging their communities and the surrounding built or natural context. Our work is characterized by the innovative use of materials and the clear articulation of space through simple forms and careful detailing. We believe that the simple solution is often the best and strive towards the most direct articulation of a client's programmatic concerns within a clearly legible spatial order.
We have completed a wide range of projects across Ontario and in several locations across Canada. While we have a history of repeat work with a number of clients we would not characterize our office as having a specialty as might apply to a building type or program. Rather we pursue a wide range of work on the basis of our interest in design opportunities of all kinds. We do have specific interests in urban design, sustainable design as the basis for all architectural proposals, and the relationship of buildings to their landscapes.

The history of Natale and Scott Architects began formally with our winning design for the Toronto Harbour Square Park, an international open design competition sponsored by the City of Toronto. This design, which met with critical acclaim, has been followed in the subsequent years by a number of award winning, published or otherwise recognized projects which demonstrate our unfolding expertise in a wide range of architectural endeavors. Our clients include institutions, municipal and provincial governments' agencies, private corporations, banks, private sector developers and individuals. As a result of working with such a wide variety of client groups, we have developed a keen sense of how to interpret and manifest a user group's needs. From the outset we have taken a central role in helping our clients define their needs and wishes, actively involving ourselves in every level of the building process, from securing funding and approvals to the fine tuning of completed construction
